As a child, I began my photography journey with a Kodak 110 Instamatic (a peculiar name, as there was nothing “instant” about it). I captured the beauty of flowers in Riverside, California. Armed with the Nikon my father gifted me, I rediscovered photography during my college years as a graphic design student. I found photography to be an exhilarating fusion of art, technology, chemistry, optics, mathematics, and storytelling. Ultimately, I graduated with a photojournalism degree to channel my passion for visual storytelling through the lens of my camera.

Event photography demands a versatile skill set, encompassing the expertise of a photojournalist, still life photographer, sports photographer, and portrait photographer. The ability to seamlessly transition among these disciplines is a challenge that I enjoy!

In addition to my photography career, I have also dedicated myself to education. I have taught photography at various institutions, including the Indiana Vocational Technical College, Long Island University in Brooklyn, and the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan.

When I’m not behind the camera, I find joy in spending quality time with my two incredible daughters, Julie and Ellie. I also love going really fast on my racing bicycle, reading, tinkering with lighting equipment, watching sci-fi, and indulging in good dark chocolate.

I look forward to hearing from you and learning about your photography needs!
